AMANA Community Church
Macklann Basse and his wife Rose left Togo in 2002 and came to the U.S. to study at Covenant Theological Seminary where Macklann also served as a pastor at New City Fellowship St. Louis -South City.  In 2010, God put a desire and vision on their hearts to return to Lome, Togo and start a church planting mission movement.  They are committed to training indigenous missionaries from West Africa who will preach the Gospel of Grace in Jesus Christ and seek the establishment of God’s Kingdom through the church as a community that embraces the reconciliation of the tribes and lives out God’s justice and righteousness for the poor, the widow, the orphan and the foreigner.

The AMANA Church meets in a growing  neighborhood of the capital city, Lome.  The Legbasseto area (“the land of idols) is steeped in traditions of animism and voodoo.  AMANA Community Church is the light of God’s love in Jesus Christ for the city and an expression of God’s refuge for widows, orphans, the poor and the oppressed.

AMANA Farm Cooperatives
The AMANA Farm Cooperatives grow food for the children at New Beginning School and also become practical training ground for missionaries reaching the agricultural communities and villages throughout West Africa. The Farm Cooperative owns 50 acres of land in 4 locations throughout Togo.
In cooperation with Equipping Farmers International, the long-term goal is to make these farms self-sustaining and profitable agricultural businesses that can help sustain the overall ministries of AMANA. For now(effective April 1, 2024), we are seeking support to help maintain the cost of farm supervision, seeds, and farming tools.

The cost for the 4 sites is $5,000 per site/year.

Monthly or one-time donations of any amount are significant in helping to maintain these ministries, as we seek to move them to financial independence over the next 5 years.

AMANA Training Institute
Theological education for pastors, ministry leaders and missionaries is also provided through the AMN (African Missions with the Nations) Institute in partnership with Third Millennium Ministries. The school is housed in four buildings, providing education for Pre-School through Middle School.  A daily food program is a critical part of the ministry for many of the poorest families who attend, providing breakfast and lunch for every child, plus dinner for late pick-ups.  The student body includes children from different tribes and from the Muslim population.
