KRS in South East Asia
KRS Missionaries Daniel and April M.
Daniel and April M. have served in South East Asia by partnering with national leaders, educators, pastors, and orphanages. Their work includes providing theological education for pastors and other ministry leaders, while promoting acts of justice and mercy.
They are working to disciple church-planters to develop a reconciling vision for cross-cultural ministry. They are also leading a team charged to translate discipleship materials from Third Millennium Ministries into local languages.
In addition they support local leaders like Pastor K. in developing his own vision for Kingdom-oriented missions in his home country (as well as being supervised by him!).
Daniel is doing full-time research work for his PhD program with Oxford Center for Missions Studies, which is tangential to the work in South East Asia.

Kalemyo Earthquake Relief
In March of 2025, a 7.9 magnitude earthquake hit the Sagaing Region of Myanmar. This earthquake was completely devastating.
There are currently two fund raising efforts being undertaken for Myanmar.
• Pastor Kham is still overseeing basic shelter and food support for about two hundred
displaced families in Kalemyo. These families will return home to their farms as soon as
the violence subsides enough for them to have a sense of safety. We are drawing near
to the end of the reserves we had accumulated from your last response to our request
for help.
Our hope is to provide $3,000/month for shelter ($30/month) and basic food ($100) to
help supplement the resources the local churches are providing. Any size gift is deeply
appreciated, and we will only ask for a 3month commitment (if possible) and will
reassess the needs regularly.
• The Murphrees reside in Yangon, the capital city. From there, they have a network of
relationships with churches that have been hit the hardest by the earthquake. Intense
short term needs still exist for food and water, blankets, and shelter. Any gift will help the
churches there bring God’s grace to expression for many of the families in severe
distress. A good portion of this will help believers, and many Buddhist families as well.
All donations for either of these projects are being handled with strong financial
accounting and responsibility. Reports are always available.
If the Lord has blessed you with an extra $20 or $50 or $100+ to give to either (or both)
of these projects, we simply ask you to prayerfully consider making a gift. As always,
“When you give to the poor, you lend to the Lord, and God Himself will repay you”
Proverbs 19:17.
