After completing a pedagogical history & social sciences degree in 1973, Leon worked successively as a high school teacher, principal, superintendent, and director. Baptized in the Catholic church, he shifted to the Assembly of God faith, then received his Bible Study Institute diploma from Logos Rhema Institute in Kinshasa, Congo. Leon was also actively involved in preaching the good news with the “Full Gospel Business Men” ministry.

Leon moved to the United States in 2000 and immediately became a member of New City Fellowship – St. Louis, where he was mentored by Rev. Barry Henning for 16 years, and was ordained as an Elder and Pastor there. He moved back to Congo in 2015 to start  New City Fellowship – Kinshasa. Leon is married to Adolphine Mujinga, and he has many children and grandchildren.
